Note: Tried to do something short and simple. I'd appreciate feedback.
He lifted the the torn piece of stationary simply, no extra care given to the caress of its deceptively sharp and yet worn edges. He smirked at the obvious rush she had been in while writing. The normally joyous and airy scrawl he'd come to know during his stay at her home had been ignored for speed and efficiency, the letters made a little tighter, smaller, and a tad sloppy in her haste.

Thanks for letting me sleep through the alarm clock you dummy,
I'll get you back for that later. Oh! If you could please
go to the store and buy some food, I'd appreciate it!
Not all of us are "Ultimate Lifeforms" who can just
eat whatever (like take-out) and stay slim and
healthy you know.

Shadow's grin turned into a deep smirk. The simple piece of torn paper was placed back onto the table flippantly, for the message was worth far more then the piece of greenery itself.
He would get (piko) hammered for letting her sleep in too late later, but oh, how he loved deviling that woman in the simplest of ways as her reactions to his playfulness varied in degree.
She made his eternity a little more worth living.
