[2005-09-06][Harry Potter] Rebuilding
Title: Rebuilding
Day/Theme: Sep 06/Hogwarts: a life

It was hard not to feel regret and a sense of loss as she saw the school being torn down. She wished she hadn't. It had been a source of pain for her. Not only was it the place where she was most isolated, but it was the place where she had seen so many of her classmates (she would have liked to think friends, but that hadn't been the case) die. It had been too badly wrecked in the final battles to stand, as it had never been quite structurally coherent in the first place, due to the secret passages and underground this and that and the odd architectural other thing.
The new school was being built close by. It was being built by Muggles. Their world had lost too much over the years since the split, particularly the ability to truly build anything new. It would be warded later.
Luna had lived most of her life thinking about new things while dwelling within the old. She found it odd that now she was thinking about the old, when getting ready to dwell within the new.
