Somewhat part of the Dark Signer Crow AU that is "Burn it Down"... Except not. But yay for apocalypses nevertheless. XD
------------------

When he was alive, Crow had never really been the sort of person to take the time to appreciate beauty. In too much of a state of perpetual motion to sit back and admire the blazing smudge of the sunset over the ocean or what few stars managed to wink their way through the smog that hangs over Satellite.

Even in death (or undeath as it were) he didn't stop. Too focused, too full of hate, too intent on tearing the world apart with his bare hands and watching it bleed to even think about taking a quiet moment to simply be.

He's stopped now though. Still and perfectly at peace in the centre of chaos as he watches the violet flames of his geoglyph lick at the air and Aslla Piscu streak though the sky. The hundreds of screams of those who were sacrificed to bring it forth still ringing in the air.

The end of the world is beautiful. Quite possibly the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, to the point of leaving him breathless... if he still needed to breathe, that is.

The Signers will come, of course. Yusei, Jack, whoever else there is. They will all come and they'll try to stop him and they'll all die. Their blood feeding the flames of the end and the slightest frisson of excitement trips along Crow's spine at the prospect. It hard to say if the sensation is from him or Aslla Piscu or if there is even a difference anymore.

Perhaps there never has been and from the moment Crow breathed his last, the moment that geoglyph blazed to life on his arm, they have been one and the same. They share a name, after all.

And after this -- after Satellite, Neo Dominio, the world, is nothing more than ash -- then there is still Kiryu. That particular loose thread leaving a bitter taste (blood, Crow still remembers how it tasted to choke on his own blood) in the back of his throat.

Kiryu will die. Again. Even if he has to cut the bastard's head off to make sure it sticks. And after that....

After that, nothing.
