"How'd you get all those markers? You musta got caught a lot, huh?"
Crow cocks a brow at the boy, who's big eyes are glittering eagerly in the firelight, and the girl seated beside him fidgets uncomfortably before shooting him a censuring glare. "Lua! You shouldn't ask like that. It's rude."
"No it isn't! Is it? I'm sorry. But did you?"
"I haven't got caught near as many times as I've gotten away," Crow replies with a vague shrug and an easy smile that causes Lua's already beaming grin to widen even more. The boy turning to face his sister again and saying, "See, Luca, it's not rude."
"That doesn't mean it's not rude to ask, it just means he doesn't care if you do." Lua making a face at her quiet logic before turning his attention back to Crow, quite obviously enthralled.
"So how did it happen? What did you do? Was it scary being caught? Did...." Lua's rapid-fire questions screeching to a halt as Crow lifts a hand, although the smile touching his lips is proof enough that he's not annoyed by the string of questions in the least.
"It was mostly bad luck that got me caught. Except for the first time, that was just kinda...." Crow hesitates, looking almost sheepish for a moment before continuing, "My own stupidity."
"Really? What happened?" Lua leans forward, wide-eyed and eager and Crow sweeps to his feet. In full storyteller mode and quite obviously enjoying himself and the attention.
"I swiped a Security D-wheel."
"Really!? No way!" Lua gleefully bounces to his feet as well. "That is so...."
"Grand theft D-wheel," Luca puts in, drawing a glower from her brother.
"So? It was probably totally for the greater good! He's friends with Yusei, Luca. You know he's not evil or anything."
"Nah, back then it was more curious and kinda stupid," Crow agrees with a vague shrug. "I just wanted to see what it was like riding one of those things. I learned better after that though."
"Really?"
"Yea. I learned not to swipe anything that I can't easily hide."
