(Author's note:  Set in the training period before Urahara achieves Bankai.)

She brings him to me soaked in blood.  No.  Correction.  She leaves me to find him soaked in blood on the training room floor.  Most of it, as always, is his.

The idiot's barely breathing, but he still manages to wink one bleary eye at me from under a matted sweaty fringe.

"Dont... tell me.  I must... look like ... something ... you dragged in?"

"Tell me you're at least getting closer to some sort of bankai."

Maybe he's just tired.  Which would explain why he's letting his lead loll to one side.  Or maybe the idiot's just trying to avoid eye contact. 

"Idiot Kisuke.  Tell me at least you're going to take a bath after this."

There's no reply, since the idiot's passed out again.  With a deep heartfelt sigh, I start preparing the bandages to dress his wounds.
