Naru found Motoko working over tiny ceramic containers. "Whatcha making?" he asked her.

"Poison," said Motoko. "I must build a resistance to it, by gradually increased controlled doses."

Naru gulped. "That sounds really dangerous, Motoko."

Motoko smiled. "Do not be alarmed. It is an ancient technique, passed down through many generations."

As Naru watched, Motoko dipped a tiny dart in one pot, pricked a finger with it— and gasped out loud.

"What's wrong!?" an alarmed Naru asked. "Did you use too much poison!?"

"NO!!" Motoko whimpered. "It's SHARP!! It REALLY HURTS!!"

"Still more worried about the poison, myself," Naru said.
