[Dec 4] [Fairy Tales] Holy Ground
Title: Holy Ground
Day/Theme: 4) making love in the temple
Series: Fairy Tales
Character/Pairing: Red Riding Hood, the Wolf
Rating: PG
Autumn had stained the windows in the trees to cathedral glass. Red and gold, yellow, and orange, burgundy and brown, all in sun-lit patterns between the leading of the tree branches. Bright shadows played over the leaves on the forest floor, and over her body. She lay on the ground, looking up at the sun, waiting for the soft crunch of feet in the leaves.
She wasn’t supposed to be here. She should’ve learned her lesson a long time ago. The danger was part of what brought her back. The kiss at her throat could suddenly tear to the jugular. The red that pooled around her head might not be just her hood before the sun set. She knew he wanted her, but what exactly he wanted, she didn’t think even he knew.
It would be too cold soon, to lure him like this. To bait him like a unicorn. She was a little surprised that none of the villagers had thought of that yet. Then again, they were afraid of the woods, wouldn’t go there unless they had to. No trespassing, as if it was holy ground, which, she added to herself, it was.
