Jr. was intelligent. He cared for the Foundation's citizens and was always up to date on political actions, both front stage and sometimes backstage. Ocassionally, he knew what was amiss backstage. The only reason why only Gaignun and not Jr. who attended political meets was Jr.'s potty mouth. It wasn't just a sparkle of “dammit” and “what the hell,” but a mouth that didn't have the slight indecency to say things behind a person's back. Jr. was a man who unintentionally demanded confrontation.

“Would you like to come with me?” Gaignun would say on his way out. It was out of necessity. He didn't want his brother to feel unimportant.

“Nah. You go ahead. If I went to those meetings, I would fall asleep.”

Gaignun was thankful Jr. never took his offer.
