“Right.” Rubedo saluted rather than nodded. He was a weapon after all, not really a son to the man.
Dr. Yuriev smiled, it unsettled the red head, there was knowledge behind that grin, and something more. Rubedo had been used all of his life but under the man's gaze he felt cold, as if chains were binding him to this duty.
