[Nov. 6, 2008][FFVI] Rebuilding Kingdoms

Title: Rebuilding Kingdoms
Day/Theme: Nov. 6, 2008 "let someone ask my heart about your half-drawn arrow"
Series: Final Fantasy VI
Character/Pairing: Edgar/Terra
Rating: G

"South Figaro seems to have a lot more, um, gears and mechanical things in it since I was here last," Terra observed, walking alongside Edgar down the main boulevard.

"Well, I'm not just rebuilding the town to its pre-destruction standards. I want to make it better, more modern, more attractive," Edgar explained, waving his hands as they walked to indicate various points of interest, from a windmill turned by the sea breeze to the flag of Figaro waving majestically from the top of the tallest building in town.

"You've really gotten the people to work hard to have come this far in such a short time. And it does have a sleek, clean look to it," Terra complimented the king.

"I did most of the design work myself," he continued, energized by the focused energy she was giving him with her interest and her smile. He reached out to take her hand and she didn't flinch away like in the past. Edgar smiled. Just as he had rebuilt this town from the ground up, he was laying the foundation of love one brick at a time.

"You're really good with tools, mechanics, building...all those sort of things. They should call you the "Architect King," Terra beamed and squeezed his hand. His palm and fingers were rough from labor. Truly, Edgar was a man of the people.

"There are other rebuilding projects in the other towns and cities too. You could help me bring a nice feminine touch to the some of the towns. It might be fun."

"Oh, I don't know anything about designing buildings," Terra protested, though without much strength in her tone.

"It doesn't matter. We'll just draw some designs and see what you like and I'll bring it to life," Edgar assured her. "I'll redecorate my kingdom entirely to your liking."

"Stop," she blushed, "That's too much, Edgar."

'Well then, will an alliance of our respective kingdoms suit you better?" He asked. He looked so dashing when he made his sudden, strange proposals.

"Wh-what kingdoms?"

"Your orphanage and my Figaro. They make quite a pair, don't you think?"
