[Sept. 5th: A winter morning just like any other] [Sakura Taisen] Beautiful
Title: Beautiful
Day/Theme: Sept. 5th: A winter morning just like any other
Series: Sakura Taisen
Character/Pairing: Reni Milchstrasse et Iris Chateaubriand
Rating: G
I haven't written RenAi in a while.
inspired by James Blunt's "You're Beautiful"
* I always consider Reni a boy. >.< It's a complex.
He saw an angel when he alighted from the train that dreary morning: she had sunshine for hair and pieces of the sky for eyes. It was a little hard not to notice her-- a drop of the sun in the middle of the snow. He stopped and stared, mesmerized and a little dazzled by the sight of her.
"Reni, what are you doing?" He turned and the angel was right beside him, light and warmth. Iris' brow crinkled. "You're staring at the window. There's no one left in the train from the troupe."
My life is brilliant, my love is pure
"I saw an angel," he said to her as she led him away from the crowd to the carriages.
"Really?"
"Yes," he said. "She looked just like you."
I saw an angel, of that I'm sure
"Silly Reni, that was the same thing you said at the last train," was all she said. The snow that morning was the same as the snow yesterday morning. It still fell about her like angel tears and flower petals. The train station was the same as any other train station they'd passed through-- dark and cold and noisy. But everytime he looked at her he saw something still new-- and in that moment he knew that his life was brilliant, and the brilliance was her.
a/n: waaaaah. critique is appreciated.
(i'd offer it to you,
milchstrasse-'neesama, but i don't think it's good enough.)
