Shindou stepped out of the door to their apartment and stopped. Touya had been trying to button his coat and bumped up against him.

“Shindou! What are you doing?” Irritated, Touya picked his glove up off the ground.

“It’s snowing.” Shindou held his hand out, trying to catch snowflakes. “It was snowing like this the day I watched your first pro game.”

“You were there?” It seemed that Shindou could still surprise him.

“Yeah. And I made a promise…” He paused uncertainly.

Touya smiled gently. “A promise?”

Shindou kissed him. His smile promised more.

“Yeah. That I would catch you.”
