Doku finds it unnervingly strange that Yaone, so wound up in her own honour that she was suicidal over it, should be so pragmatic.
After all -- the poisoned food. The explosives throughout the inn. He hadn't thought that she'd seriously come that close to killing them. (To killing his little brother. But he doesn't think about that.)
After the way that she'd reacted to his relationship with their lord -- the quiet acceptance, the sad eyes -- he'd assumed she was the sort of dreamer who survived on wishes.
It occurs to him that he may have been mistaken.
