[Oct 1] [South Park] Like Rain
Title: Like Rain
Day/Theme: Oct 1 / waiting in the wings
Series: South Park
Character/Pairing: Kyan/Style ; Stendy
Rating: Uhh... PG/PG-13ish... 83
It was perfect. Stan and Wendy walked off together, Stan holding his blue umbrella up over his and his girlfriend's head. It was also perfect that Kyle stood there watching them leave, his dark green umbrella shielding him from the rain as well. He stood watching the two of them go, listening to the splatter on his umbrella before he turned around, heading back to his place. He closed the umbrella as he stepped inside, placing it on the towel his mother laid out specifically for rain gear. He looked around, breathing a sigh of relief. His parents had taken Ike to a Hockey game in Denver, he was relieved to realize that they were still gone. As he began to fiddle around in the kitchen, his thoughts went back to just moments earlier.
He was use to being ditched by Stan for Wendy. After all, they were dating. It was like some unwritten rule that friends should accept and encourage the whole dating thing. He should be encouraging Stan to go out and pork Wendy until the cows came home. But part of him... really disliked the idea of Wendy atop Stan or vice versa. He twitched, face flooding with color. Kyle had found out he wasn't interested in girls around the tender age of 11, when he hit thirteen, his body began reacting to Stan. Stan's eyes, Stan's lips, Stan's body... even Stan's voice cause this odd twinge to pulsate through his body. Sometimes he could control it, other times he ended up on the toilet for awhile with a box of tissues beside him.
It was embarrassing. Sexual thoughts about your best friend, especially your best friend of the same sex, was something most teenage boys didn't want. They would rather have normality and be dreaming of being between some girls legs... not dreaming of their male friend between their own legs with their said legs draped over muscular shoulders. He shivered. But he knew better.
Stan was in love with Wendy Testaburger... though miss Testaburger was easily agitated, she was a nice woman and Stan deserved a nice girl. But Kyle was also observant. He could tell the two were rocky at times. The tension, the looks that said 'I don't like to trust you very much', even the little head shakes at time. Stan was always coming to Kyle, saying how much of a bitch Wendy was and he'd rather hang out with Kyle. That always made Kyle feel warm inside. He would simply smile at Stan and knew he'd just be waiting.
Waiting for Stan to wake up, smell the coffee, and realize Wendy wasn't right for him.
And that pussy wasn't all it was made out to be.
(THE END)
I just went to yahoo and typed in waiting in the wings.... and found not only is it an Angel episode name, but it's a song title by Diana Ross... which is pretty much what I took it as. 83
