August complete! Thanks [livejournal.com profile] izkariote!

"All things considered, 300 gil for the whole group is an excellent rate for that airship fare," Cid remarked, gazing out the window at the clouds that passed by stretching fluffy and light across the pale blue sky.
"I don't care how much it cots," Luso sighed pleasantly, "I would pay any price to have the chance to soar freely through the skies. It's so exhilarating. C'mon," the boy tugged on the clan leaders' sleeve, "Let's go up on the observation deck!"

Cid allowed himself to be pulled along, chuckling softly at Luso's excitement. Ah, to be young and in love with the world again! The joy he saw in Luso's eyes as he explore and experience new things helped Cid to see the these things anew as well. The world truly was filled with wonder.

Luso let go of Cid's sleeve to hold onto his hat once they stepped out into the restless winds. His messy hair whipped around his face, obscuring his vision. Most of the members of the Clan Gully had gathered here to enjoy the view just like Luso. As a group they made quite a sight, making up a good third of the total passengers aboard.

"Mommy, when I grow up, can I join a clan?" a small bangaa asked his rather distracted seeming mother.

"Of course, dear," she answered hastily, "You can be anything you want to be."

Izabel pointed Vilford and Allod in the direction of the traveling bangaas. Vilford waved shyly to the pair. The mother's look did not seem uninterested. Allod giggled- well, as much as any male bangaa could giggle. "It seems that you may have a taker for your proposed experiment," Izabel noted calmly.

"And what experiment might that be?" Keitee asked, leaning closer to the trio to enter the casual conversation.

"N-nothing your gentle ears should be hearing," Vilford stammered.

"You need not think me innocent, Allod," Keitee smiled, "Though I am younger than Izabel and newer to the clan, I am still a veteran compared to you." She winked, "And not just a veteran fighter."

"Perhaps we should have looked closer to home in our experimenting," Vilford guffawed.

Luso could not help but find his curiosity swelling as this secretive talk passed around him. "Cid, what are they talking about? Some kind of special skill? A secret job?"

"Huh, huh," Cid choked nervously, "Something that should wait until you're older." There were some joys of life he would not be experiencing alongside Luso.
