[Aug 5] [Gintama] How Could You Run Out of Jump?

Title: How Could You Run Out of Jump?
Day/Theme: Aug 5 / Supply and Demand
Series: Gintama
Character/Pairing: Gintoki/Shinpachi
Rating: PG/PG-13

It was a rainy day and rainy days were never a good sign. No kids played outside, except for the ones who either thought it would be “cool” to play out in the rain(while probably catching pneumonia) or the ones that had no other place to go... but for the most part, parents kept their little rug rats inside and kept them occupied with other things. Be it chores, television, or worse... Jump Magazine.

Not that there was anything wrong with Jump, no... Jump was awesome. It put light into this meaningless world and created a source of escapism... but the fact that parents were probably buying out Jump for the kids was a strike of bad luck for Sakata Gintoki, who sped down the street on his scooter. He was already drenched, all but the top of his head, which was covered by his helmet. He had already stopped at many convenient stores and even comic shops, but each one had already been out of what he longed for. Hell, that useless ninja with the hemorrhoids probably even has a Jump now! He parked and walked out to the small convenient store... how will such a small store even have a Jump? Oh well, might as well look.

Shimura Shinpachi turned the page of his book, listening to the rain hitting the roof tiles, trying to ignore Sasaharu's snoring and Kagura's own snoring, which at this point he wasn't sure which one was more annoying. He stretched and turned his head toward the window as he heard Gintoki's bike. He had finally either found Jump or just given up. It could go either way. The loud thunking of his boots against the steps was a negative sign. Gintoki pulled the door open, an annoyed expression on his half soaked face. Shinpachi watched the older man drag his feet, throwing his helmet onto the floor. Gintoki sat down.
“No Jump?”
An eyebrow twitched.
“Well, you should have left earlier... instead of buying one when you just feel like it, you could have bought on earlier and read it when you felt like it.”
Gintoki growled. “I know that!” Sadaharu opened his eyes and glanced at the man who was now kicking his desk. Gintoki hissed. “Don't these people understand the need of supply and demand! The people need Jump! They need to be kept in supply because there is a big demand for Jump magazine! That way they won't just run out!”
Shinpachi snorted. “Not everyone needs Jump as much as you do.”

Gintoki growled, walking into his room. Shinpachi sighed. Perhaps he should be nice. He lifted up an unopened Jump magazine he had bought this morning, knowing that Gintoki would definitely wait to late on such a lousy day and headed after Gintoki.
He opened the door. “Gin-san-.”
Shinpachi's eyes widened as Gintoki stood there naked, holding onto some pants he was about ready to put on. Shinpachi felt his cheeks heat up and he looked away. Gintoki hissed. “What?”
“I-I just wanted to let you know, I bought you a Jump this morning, I figured you'd forget-.”
“Shiin-chaan!”
“Ah! Get away, you're naked!!”
Shinpachi ran around the room, a naked Gintoki, holding onto his new Jump magazine, chased him with puckered lips.
“I'm so happy I could kiss you!”
“No! Gin-san!!”

Sadaharu whined in the other room, closing his eyes once more, trying to ignore the stomping around in the other room. Kagura snorted in her sleep, grinning. “Sukonbu...”
