31_days | MOD POST -- Amnesty Day

Hello! Friendly neighborhood mod, here, following up on the poll I posted a few days ago.

Amnesty Day was overwhelmingly approved by the comm, which is wonderful and completely understandable. However, my two biggest concerns about it are:
1) propensity to procrastinate
and 2) we should be able to uphold the people who *are* able to honor a prompt in the 24-hour time limit.

Fortunately, I think I've come up with a solution that I think will work for everybody.

31_days "Amnesty Day" Offical Rules

1. Amnesty Day will be the last date of any given month; this could be the 30th, or the 31st, depending. There will be reminder posts throughout the month via Mod.

2. Fics may be written for any of that month's prompts.

3. ALL fics must be posted on the same post, with fake-cut links to your journal. This keeps the flists of comm members from getting spammed! Any two posts on that date done by the same person will be deleted with a two-hour warning.

4. Customary 31_days format must otherwise be upheld.

5. Fics posted on Amnesty Day will NOT be archived in the comm's memories. This is for my own sanity, and also to reward comm members who honor the 24-hour deadline.

This upcoming August 31st will be the first official Amnesty Day. We'll try it out for a few months, and if it doesn't work for whatever reason we'll work with the guidelines. The rules stated above will also be put in the
