Title: The End.
Day/Theme: July 21. 2008. Voicing the words he cannot say.
Series: Vampire Knight

'So it really ends this way?' Ichiru grimaced as he shifted himself.
It was tiring, trying to get his brother to grant him death, the only haven he had left. What was the saying? Leading a horse to water . . . Yes, that's how his brother was. Stubborn enough to stand up to purebloods, with a constitution that rarely wavered. This would be Ichiru's last difficult task and probably the last time he'd have to deal with Zero, the last time he'd feel his heart break.
Emptiness had invaded him long before this moment. Suzuka had held it at bay, changing it into something else while she had stilled lived. Now though, she was gone and it was all Zero's fault. The pureblood he had truly loved was killed by his hated brother. How he hated him for taking up Suzuka's attention all those years, her one obsession keeping her breathing all those years when he pined for her by her side.
Second to Zero, as always.
Ichiru tightened his grip on Zero as he took a deep breath, feeling pearly white fangs sinking into his skin. His back arched, his eyes snapping wide open, landing on the ceiling.
'Is this how it feels? Yuuki, you worthless girl? Suzuka, love?'
