He hasn't been sleeping much ever since he moved into the dorms. The whole school is filled with strangers except for his annoying cousin, his assistant, the rat lover and the strange duo living next to his room.

It's only been a few days he had left home for this school and he already misses Ayako—not his home, only Ayako.

Bleary-eyed, he stares at the white ceiling and takes in his surrounding with a certain slowness his groggy mind could allow him to. The TV is still on, playing the morning weather forecast. The ceiling light makes a monotonous hum above his head. The CD player on his pillow no longer plays the rock music he had fallen asleep to.

Absently, he checks the screen—battery dead—and releases a sigh, lazily pushes himself off the bed, not even glancing to the bed opposite of his own, across the room. Hosaka starts his morning routine, albeit sluggishly, awkward long limbs stumbling over his slippers as he makes his way to the bathroom.

It's another wonderful morning, his crazy cousin would exclaim in the dorms' living-room. Irritated, he squashes the little voice in his mind that sounds similar to Reiichi's own. Not even while he's taking a shower will Reiichi, the bastard, leave him alone.

 

That very morning, Okuno, Reiichi's assistant, drops by to dump that little fox from the opening ceremony in his hands.

He's going to kill Reiichi for allowing the kid and him room in 214 together. But in the back of his mind, he is slightly glad the space across his side is no longer glaring at him for being empty and accumulating dust bunnies.
