"Are you free for some breaking and entering today?" Washu asked Ryoko.

"You bet," Ryoko said enthusiastically. "What's the plan?"

"A research facility is working on a fascinating teleportation device," Washu said. "I'd like to, uh, 'borrow' it to study it."

"Yeah, alright," said Ryoko. "I'll get Ryo-ohki, and—"

"Oh, we won't need her," Washu said quickly.

Ryoko blinked. "But if we don't have a ship, how will we get away after we steal the teleportation device?"

Washu waited for the coin to drop.

"Ohhhhh," Ryoko finally said.

"And that," Washu said, not unkindly, "is why *I* make the plans."
