[June 1st] [Original] Part One

Title: Part One.
Theme: June 1, 2008. Unfinished lullaby.
Fandom: Original.
Pairing: Currently none.
Rating/Warnings: PG (for now). Slash.
Summary: Sometimes, Zita really hated how intelligant Tabbitha seemed.

It was amusing to watch the Syvrin croon lovingly at the baby. Their furred bodies were a sharp contrast to the creature of myth the scientists had in mind when they created the Syvrins. Tabbitha, the Syvrin that had been Manith's, her husbands, companion for years, continued to croon at the baby even as Zita picked her up to carry her out of the room. It had taken Tabbitha twenty minutes to croon the crying baby to sleep and Zita wasn't going to miss this chance at having some peace and quiet for the first time in the four months the baby had been born.

Carrying Tabbitha under one arm, still crooning her strange lullaby, Zita closed the door. As soon as it was shut, the dragon-esque creature stopped crooning. Syvrins were odd creatures, medium sized and furred, only the males had wings. Both genders shared the strange crooning in common, usually directed at babies of their own artificially created species.

Tabbitha was an especially beautiful Svyrin. Her fur was crimson with darker points, vulpine ears attached to her head. Her yellow vertically slit eyes held intelligance that sometimes chilled Zita to the bone.

Still, she was fond of the Svyrin and was glad that at least her son would have a playmate.
