This follows "Anti-Gravity Act" from May 14th.

The computer whirred quietly like a whistling fan as internal systems shut down, blackening the bridge but for the gentle blue glow of the computer screens. All was quiet for a split second as the members of the nightshift blinked silently in the dark, and then the full lights came on, blinding their nearly adjusted eyes.

"Ah great!" Leona groaned, rubbing her stinging eyes.

"May Radcliff!" growled Jorge's voice over the comm. link, followed by a varitey of other annoyed complaints about the change in internal ship status.

"Duay to bridge! What's going on? Is this an emergency drill?"

"Pilot Radcliff, this had better not be your idea of a practical joke!"

"What?"

"Huh?"

"Sorry! Sorry!" May blustered over all open channels, before cutting off contact to all of them with the flick of a switch. She quickly tapped the console, cutting the lights in all areas usually dimmed at night.

The comm. console beeped and flashed as three or four of her crewmates without the clearance to override her shut out command continued to try and contact the bridge. "You really should talk to them," Stuart said, coming over to stand behind May's seat at the helm.

She sighed. How could she continue with her usual ignoble ignoring of non-emergency calls while the moral center of the ship was leaning over her shoulder? She opened the first channel. "Radcliff to whoever's there."

"May?" Marta's voice asked. She sounded less irritable than she had during her earlier call. "May, what happened? Did we hit something? I woke up after I hit my head on the floor!"

"Err, well, the gravity went out, so you were probably floating until I corrected the problem."

"Well," Marta continued, probably surveying the damage in her slightly disheveled quarters, "That explains why everything on my dresser's on the floor now. ...Why does the gravity always go out during your watch? Have you been putting your feet up on the console while no one's watching?"

Stuart chuckled. "No Marta. You know I'd never let her get away with that."

"Oh? Good evening, Father Stuart. I didn't know you've been on the nightshift," Marta chirped.

"No, I just couldn't sleep," he relied pleasantly.

"Okay, okay," May broke in, "Enough chitchat. No personal calls on the bridge channel! Radcliff out." She broke the link. "I still have three others to deal with Stuart and one of them is probably Marge. ...And knowing Marge, she's going to be mad."
