[May 11] [Samurai Jack] A Hero Walks
Title: A Hero Walks
Day/Theme: 11. These are the days of miracle and wonder

Reports were coming in from all over the world. Things were changing. Hope was appearing in places that had only heard of it in folksongs. People had seen a warrior fighting against the robotic and alien minions of the Master of Masters. He had done what they had been told for lifetimes was impossible. He had defied Aku, and won.
This warrior wasn’t a monster, like so many others had been. He was polite, quiet, and many claimed he was handsome. He was kind to those who didn't attack him. In a world where evil was law, and violence cut into almost every flesh and stone, it was remarkable to see a champion.
It went against all logic. That kind of thing didn’t happen anymore. Aku had covered the world with his fiery shadow for too long. His clawed hands could reach anywhere. His flaming eyes saw everything. In their minds, they knew there was no standing against a shape shifting Lord of Darkness and Sorrow.
They had expected the warrior in white to be killed quickly, or worse, corrupted into another oppressor. He hadn’t. He had won countless battles, helped in others. Beings all over the world told tales of him in various languages. Even the mute robot warriors had a special stillness that meant his name.
While it made no sense to the peoples’ minds, deeper parts of them remembered what they had never seen. It had been generations upon generations since Aku had taken the world. They shouldn’t have known what to make of Jack, but some part of them still recognized a hero.
