Title: Stones in Narrow Spaces 4/?
Day/Theme: May 4 / Sailing seas and climbing banyans
Series: Hikaru no Go
Character/Pairing: Akira/Hikaru

----------
They crossed the sea to Innoshima on a blustery afternoon, their hearts as urgent as a deadline. Shindou in particular was on edge, his chin raised high as he looked towards the island, as though he could see the Shuusaku museum already.
A night of playing Go on the internet did not seem to have dulled Shindou's demeanor. There were shadows under his eyes, but Touya could see the feverish anticipation under his eyes.
"Did you find out anything?" Touya asked him.
Shindou shook his head, letting the wind sweep long strands of his hair out of his eyes. "I don't know yet," he said. "Just talk. Whether they make any sense... we'll have to see."
And for that Touya was contented, at least for the time being. Upon reaching Innoshima, they got into a taxi and reached the museum an hour before it closed.
"Shindou-sensei," the manager at the museum said in astonishment. "And Touya-sensei," he added, seeing Touya as well. "You're here early."
They usually came on Children's Day.
"You're not here just to pay your respects," the manager said, after studying Shindou's expression for a moment, glancing in the direction of the cemetery. He knew Shindou well from his frequent visits.
Shindou came forward, stepping over the banyan steps. "Norimoto-san," he said, and went on without preamble. "Yesterday a Shuusaku goban was stolen. I've been monitoring news on Go websites all night and I need to know if anyone has been asking you about Shuusaku gobans."
