Ayeka walked up to Ryoko, and looked at her with a small tight-lipped smirk of sheer disdain.

"...what!?" Ryoko growled angrily.

"Please don't mind me," Ayeka said. "I'm just practicing being haughty and condescending."

Ryoko blinked. "You have to practice that? I always thought you came by it naturally."

"Oh, no," Ayeka said modestly. "It takes years of training and practice to be this stuck-up."

"Huh," Ryoko said. "Ya learn somethin' new every day."

"This was only a test," Ayeka said by rote. "If this had been an actual put-down, it would have been followed by taunts and general abuse."
