Maid cos-play Mikuru set out a cup of tea for Kyon, and then watched him expectantly as he took a sip.

Kyon lowered the cup and raised an eyebrow. "Do you want something, Mikuru-chan?"

"Yes," Mikuru said nervously. "A fifteen percent gratuity."

"Excuse me?" Kyon said.

"It wasn't my idea," Mikuru said quickly. "Haruhi told me to collect tips as a club fund-raiser for the SOS Brigade."

"I see," Kyon said. "In that case, I'll give you a highly valuable tip: You shouldn't take orders from insane people."

"That is a valuable tip," Mikuru said sincerely. "Thank you very much."
