Shizuru threw on her favorite purple floral kimono and turned on her desk lamp, sitting down to read a book when she heard a knock at the door.
I wonder if that's who I think it is.
She got up to open the door and saw Natsuki standing in front of her. Both girls' eyes darted around the room nervously.
Come on, Shizuru. This is the moment you've been waiting for all year. Just go for it!
Shizuru took a deep breath, and then clutched Natsuki and gave her a kiss.
Natsuki's face turned bright red. "What was that for?" she asked.
Oh, no...She didn't like it. Quick...say something clever.
"I always wanted to do that," Shizuru said playfully, placing a finger on her lips. "Was I too forward?"
"Well, usually someone will present me with flowers or ask me to go out for dinner before they plant a first kiss."
She's smiling. Okay...good, good. Keep the conversation going.
"I'm sorry," said Shizuru. "I just got so excited seeing you here tonight, that I couldn't wait for the date to begin before our first kiss."
"You mean this was supposed to be a date?"
Oops...I think I said too much.
