[Feb 19] [Magic Kaitou] Don't Count Your Mikos Before They Hatch....
Title: Don't Count Your Mikos Before They Hatch
Author: Fyliwion
Fandom: Magic Kaitou
Pairing: Aoko/Kaito
Theme: Feb 19- "And all creatures shall be purified"
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I note again... Gosho doesn't do Shoujo-
There was a myth passed down through the centuries, which every sorcerer, wizard, priestess and preist had always been forewarned of.
There was a gem of extreme power. A gem that for normal humans could grant immortality with nothing more than a tear. A gem that entire wars had been fought over, and civilizations had been lost in an attempt to retrieve it.
There was a guardian who had always kept watch on the gem, and he was to stay with the stone and wait for the one who finally would have the power to destroy the gem once and for all. The guardian who had the knowledge to lead the ceremony that would purify all creatures, and that would make the final rites necessary for the one who would come for the gem.
There was a young man, still in High School who was the final one to find the them gem. The guardian saw the gem recognize this man as the one who would make the final rites on the stone. This man was the one who held the power to break the stone’s curse at last, and end the cycle of death that followed in Pandora’s wake.
“I HAVE TO WEAR WHAT?!?”
Unfortunately after centuries of preparation for the final ceremony. After hidden shrines, and hidden orders had been created to assist the person who would destroy it. After the set order of how the rites must be performed to destroy the gem was decided, the original ones who had seen the person had failed to realize one small thing.
The great one who would save them all was not in fact a priestess-
But rather a thief.
A very young male thief.
“Now Young Master the ceremony won’t work if you don’t put on the holy robes. We know they’re a bit lacy but-”
“They’re WOMEN’S ROBES!”
“…… actually their the ancestral garb belonging to the great Miko-”
“WOMEN’S CLOTHING!!!”
“…..”
In foresight? Perhaps they shouldn’t have made quite so many presumptions given the type of ceremony. True that in ninety-nine percent of cases concerning purification and world saving young virgin girls were the primary forerunners.
Who wasn’t to say one male wouldn’t pop up in a generation.
“…Don’t say it… Don’t say it looks good on me… Yes I know I’m lithe and have nice legs, but don’t you dare say it looks good on me…”
But so long as it didn’t keep him from finally ridding the world of the gem?
It really didn’t matter all that much.
“Breathe a word of this to Aoko and I will make sure you suffer until you’re dying day-”
“Ahh but she was going to be one of the-”
“…. Do you really want to have to check over your shoulder for the rest of your life… Precisely…
Even if the boy did prove to be more of an antihero than the usual hero type. Or maybe even a villain in how simply blunt the strange thief could be…
“….Couldn’t I just hit it with my card gun and shatter it to little bitty bits? Bet that would be easier!”
….Either way, definitely more of an antihero.
