[Feb 16] [Candyman] Blood and Candy
Title: Blood and Candy
Day/Theme: Feb. 16 - “Sweet Helen, make me immortal with a kiss”
Series:Candyman
Character/Pairing: Helen/Candyman
Rating: PG
They had burned together. He was gone. She remained.
Now she walked, holding his lost hand, roaming the mirrors, listening for the words of believers.
They thought they had killed him. They believed they had. They also believed in her. She kept the belief alive. His legend lived because she had become him. They were both eternal now. Where there had been the vengeful monster there was now the beautiful woman, no less vengeful. The dark shadow over your shoulder in the mirror had been replaced by the pale one. The hook hadn’t changed.
The living only heard her voice, but she heard his. It whispered in the hum of bees and the rustle of discarded candy wrappers. The smell of smoke and candy followed them, burning and sweetness. It connected them, they who had been parted, past lives and deaths, through the mirror and into the minds of the storytellers.
