Viktor gripped the hilt of the Star Dragon Sword, ready to charge into battle with a fury unmatched my man.
"Must you go about swinging me around like that?" boomed the demonic face on the hilt. "I swear, you are one of the most incorrigible heroes I've ever had the displeasure of meeting."
"Stow it," said Viktor. "I'm doing this for the sake of world peace. Once Neclord's put away, you can finally rest."
Riou tapped Viktor on the shoulder from behind. "Uh, Vik..." he said.  "I'm not sure it's such a good idea to tease the sword."
"And why not?"
A surge of energy rushed through Viktor's hand, forcing him to drop the sword on the ground. "Ow! You little---!"
Riou rushed to pick up the sword, but merely placing his hand on the grip was enough to burn his hand. Nanami was also unable to move the massive blade.
"You're doing it wrong," mused Jowy.  "Watch."
Jowy donned a pair of black gloves and grabbed the sword with his eyes closed, delicately lifting it off the floor.
"See?" said the sword. "The white-haired boy knows how to respect a weapon. Perhaps you could learn something from him, Scruffy."
