[Feb 11] [Magic Kaitou] Confessions
Title: Confessions

Theme: Feb 11 “Confess and be Hanged”

He was kneeling down before her almost in a genuflection as the words poured out of his mouth. He was completely soaked from the rain, and he didn’t even care that he was near babbling. She made no movement, no sound, and he could see her trembling from where the corner of his eyes.
He explained everything. He explained why he hadn’t proposed to her. Why he would disappear. Why KID finally got up and left.
He explained that he was KID.
He confessed it all, and placed his head inside the noose and tightened it with every word.
In the end he ran out of words.
He confessed an now he’d be hanged for it, just like Jii had warned him… only it was far too late to go back at that point.
And he waited for the final drop…
Only to find two arms encircling him into a warm embrace, and warm rain fall onto his cheeks. He looked up to what he presumed was a crying Aoko holding him. He never would have expected that… not after the truth… not after lying to her through his teeth for so long.
Yet there she was kneeling in the mud and rain, holding him in her arms, and head buried in his chest.
He stared going into shock as she whispered, “You were going to propose to me?”
He nodded weakly and pulled out a small box from his pocket, “You didn’t know I was KID…. I’m not a complete monster to make you marry the person you hate…
It was a pleasant surprise to find lips pushed against his, and a warm hand wrap around his and the ring. When she pulled away she laughed saying softly, “How could I turn you down after this….
And just like that she cut down the noose, and destroyed the gallows with it… and Kaito was left gaping up at her with a dumbfounded expression trying to stumble out a line of words that mentioned father, calling, and jail.
But for the second time she shook her head and sighed, “And lose a fiancée? I don’t think so…”
“Idiot”
And still kneeling in the rain she kissed him again before adding, “I have a confession too…
He looked at her puzzled and she laughed, “Do you really think I didn’t figure it out? You know it might’ve helped if you waited more than a day after giving up KID to ask me out…”
A/N: Not really finished, or pleased… but I’m so tired I can barely see straight… so I tried ^^;;
