Sometimes, just having the Netherworld in his grasp didn't cut it.
Laharl was an Overlord, a young demon king with virtually limitless potential. He was a conqueror by nature and, depending on who you asked, a pretty ruthless guy. His grand plan was to outdo his old man, the late King Krichevskoy, by spreading his influence throughout as many Netherworlds as possible, Tyrant Lord Baal be damned. He opened up his map and sprawled it out on a table, throwing a red dart at his next potential target...Veldime.
"Ah," he said after doing his loudest evil laugh, "this world looks ripe for conquest. Flonne! Summon the Prinny Squad! We leave for Veldime at once!"
Flonne, his new number-one vassal, played around with the red ribbon in her hair and gave her king a salute. "Yes, sir!" said the fallen angel.
Laharl looked around his throne room, noticing that something else was missing. "Where the hell is Etna? Is that girl out trying to steal my glory? No matter. If she gets in my way, I'll see that she gets a punishment worse than death!"
With that, he dashed out of the throne room, leaving behind a trail of broken vases.
