"I say Mikoto likes my cooking better," said Mai.

"Oh, yeah? Well, I say she likes mine better!" said Shiho.

"We'll just have to see about that."

Mai led a blindfolded Mikoto to the dinner table, putting a spoonful of soup under her nose. "Here, Mikoto. Try this one."

Mikoto sniffed the spoon a few times, and then ate the soup. "This is delicious!" she said gleefully.

"Now, try this one," said Mai, dipping her spoon into a different bowl.

Mikoto sniffed the spoon again, but pushed it away and emphatically shook her head.

"Come on, Mikoto!" Mai pleaded. "Eat it!"

"I don't want to."

"Why not?"

Mikoto stood up and took off her blindfold. "The last time I ate Shiho's soup, I spent five minutes throwing it back up."

Shiho's pink ponytails shot straight into the air. "Hey!" she said angrily. "Are you insulting my cooking? I worked hard on this one. The least you could do is try it!"

She chased Mikoto around the room, desperate to get the young junior to sample her soup. "Mai! Help!" Mikoto cried. "Shiho's trying to poison me again!"

"See?" said Mai, snatching the spoon from Shiho's hand. "She likes mine better."
