"And how is pretty little Momo-chan today?" Kyouraku-taichou asked, appearing behind Hinamori in a drift of pink kimono and a tentacular flutter of sleeves.
Hinamori shrieked and reacted on instinct, bringing the book she was holding down, round, and catching him on the chin with the uppercut.
"Ah," Kyouraku-taichou groaned as he leaned against the wall, "I see my lovely Nanao-chan has been teaching you a few tricks."
Hinamori was torn between apologising to him and apologising to the book. "Nonono, Kyouraku-taichou! We just discuss books we've read!"
"And hitting captains with them?"
"Not the rare books," Hinamori said earnestly.
