Title: The Veil of Lies
Day/Theme: January 20, 2008 // bejeweled with diamond droplets
Character/Pairing: Scarlett and Ruth Voss

A/N: the Veil of Lies is going to be lost on you, so.. its just a very important artifact in their world. It basically suffocates anyone who wears it if they're lying. :]
Scarlett paced the floor of her room in her parent’s house, her younger sister watching carefully.
“Scar, I don’t believe you’re doing this-” her sister burst out. Scarlett stopped, and their eyes met.
“This doesn’t concern you at all, Ruth,” she said softly. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
“Miss Scarlett?” a servant called. “Someone’s here to see you.” Scarlett and Ruth then went downstairs to meet the stranger.
The stranger pulled out a worn, old veil. The rim was covered in rubies and diamonds, and Scarlett took it carefully, beaming. She had it- the Veil of Lies.
