Zuko held the brush over the parchment.
Crown Prince Zuko, son of Fire Lord Ozai.
He had written it so many times the brush strokes were automatic for him. But now it had changed.

He hated every part of that – his grandfather, who had sentenced him to death. His father, who had nearly carried out the sentence.

Even the title Fire Lord made him think of Ozai, which had led him to doubt whether he even wanted that either. But certain choices were not up to him.

He looked at the characters on the parchment and nodded. It was too humble, and would probably be labeled pretentious in the end. But it was a name he would live with.
