[Jan. 8] [Tales of the Abyss] Homecoming
Title: Homecoming
Day/Theme: Jan. 8/ beyond the sphere of human vision, we met and embraced
Series: Tales of the Abyss

Warning: SPOILERS for the end of the game.
“It’s a dream again,” I first think as you slowly approach me. I’m certain it’s just another dream in which you finally return- only wake up and find you’re not there. Hesitantly, I step forward hearing no reply from Jade and the others, no doubt just as astonished.
My throat is dry, but I somehow manage to say “Why...are you here?”
You show me your familiar smile that I missed seeing. “This place has a nice view of Hod.” Hearing your voice, I feel the tears coming. I struggle to hold them back.
Then you continue “..and also I promised someone.”
My whole body’s shaking. I can’t speak. The tears are breaking through. The others begin to approach and it’s only then I let my emotions take control. I leap forward and embrace you. I never thought I would be so happy to cry in my life as I sob into your chest. You wrap your warm arms around me. In a whisper, I reply “Welcome home, Luke.”
