[January 5] [Pumpkin Scissors] Intuition
Title: Intuition

Character/Pairing: Alice, Randel, Oreld, Machs. Maybe a touch of Alice/Randel.

“There’s something wrong with the corporal,” said Alice as she looked in Randel’s direction.
Oreld shrugged. “The big guy seems OK to me, Lieutenant. Why do you think there’s anything wrong with him?”
“I just know. It’s something about the way he’s walking.”
Oreld smiled, and Alice gave him a sharp look.
“Don’t look at me like that! He’s in my command, I have to know what’s going on with him.”
“I didn’t say anything, sir!” replied Oreld, holding up his hands.
Machs said something in a low voice, and Oreld replied, muttering something about “women’s intuition.”
“There’s no such thing as women’s intuition! Women can think just like men,” said Alice. But she rubbed the back of her neck distractedly as she said it.
“I think Corporal Oland might be feeling better if he didn’t give so much of his food to the cats,” said Machs.
“Are you telling me he doesn’t have enough to eat? Has he been getting his paycheck?” asked Alice.
“I didn’t say anything either, sir!” said Machs quicky, but Alice was already stomping over to Randel.
“He’s in trouble now,” said Oreld.
The next thing they saw was Alice pulling him out of the room by his arm.
“I think they’re going to go have lunch,” said Machs.
Oreld nodded. “At three in the afternoon. Whether he wants to or not.”
