Mutsumi was studying with Keitaro and Naru in Keitaro's room. She glanced at his desk— and gulped. "Keitaro? Why does your desk calendar say '1944'?"

"What?... Oh." Keitaro crawled over to his desk and corrected the calendar. "This is a perpetual calendar, and both 1944 and 2000 use the same calendar. I changed the calendar part, but I set the wrong year at the top. See?"

Mutsumi breathed out in relief. "Oh, thank goodness! For a moment, I was afraid that I hadn't been born yet!"

"Sometimes," Naru said dryly, "I have to ask myself if you really exist too."
