[Dec. 18, 2007][Suikoden] Roundabout with Viki

Title: Roundabout with Viki
Day/Theme: Dec. 18, 2007 "Her own brand of sanity"
Series: Suikoden
Character/Pairing: Viki, Fuma, Marie, Hellion
Rating: G

"That girl's not quite right," Marie shook her head, watching Viki wander, wide-eyed around that floor of the castle.

"Actually, I think she's kinda cute," Fuma smiled out from underneath his lopsided head covering.

Marie eyed the red and black clad ninja suspiciously. Either Fuma had never even spoken to the teleportress or there was something as seriously wrong with him as there was with Viki. Marie resolved to keep a closer eye on this self-trained ninja in the future.

"Viki!" Fuma hailed her pleasantly, walking away from the cluster of shops and towards the confused girl.

"Huh? Oh, hi!" Viki chirped, waving at the long-haired man.

"What's up? Are you lost?" he asked, trying to make sense of her puzzled expression and aimless walking.

"Hmmm..." the girl considered the question much longer than a normal person would. "No," she decided at last, "I can't be lost since I don't remember where I'm going anymore."

Fuma blinked several times. This was a response he had not expected. "Well, uh, right then." He stood, hands on his hips, trying to make up his mind about what to do or say next. "Uh, maybe I should escort you back to Hellion and that big mirror."

Viki's face brightened, "I could teleport us there!"

"N-no! No," Fuma insisted, waving his hands wildly to stop the girl from acting rashly. Teleportation seemed more likely to worsen the situation. Who knew where they might end up? "Let's just walk," he gulped, trying to regain his calm as he saw that Viki hadn't acted on her suggested action.

"Okay, let's go," she happily agreed.

Fuma grabbed her hand to keep her from accidentally straying and dragging out this bizarre escapade any longer than necessary. They hurried down several flights of Toran Castle's large stone steps to the basement.

Hellion was waiting for them at the bottom. "Viki," she sighed, "How many times do I need to tell you not to wander off on your own?"

"Thanks Fuma!" Viki pulled her hand loose and resumed her position by the mirror.

"You poor young man," the older mage sympathized with him. "She can be a handful."
