I don’t know why it came as a surprise. Sae was a hopeless ninny nine times out of ten, but that one time she wasn’t was always spectacular.
She hid her power and beauty so well that it still managed to come as a shock when the curtains fell away. I should know better by now. But she was so heartbreaking clumsy and clueless 90% of the time that she fooled me, again and again.
And when her moment would come, she shone, and I was ashamed I had ever doubted her. I should’ve remembered.
