Title: Staredown

Character/Pairing: Integra, Enrico, Seras (no pairings)

Eye contact was made. Teeth were bared. Words were growled and snapped.
Seras could hear them perfectly well from across the room and around the corner. She was as tense as they were, ready to attack or run as soon as something broke. If she concentrated, she could see their auras bristling.
Remember this the next time you imagine how innocent and civilized it is to be human. The voice hissed through her consciousness, black with amusement, and maybe a touch of pride.
Seras didn’t answer. She kept her eyes on the pack leaders. The alphas had taken up position. Integra hadn’t budged. Enrico had puffed up to make himself as big as possible. Behind him, Seras sensed rather than saw the two pack betas move into place. Time to move.
