[Nov 8] [MKR] Another Chance
Title: Another Chance
Day/Theme: 8. everything you can imagine is real
Series: Magic Knights Rayearth
Character/Pairing: Innova
Rating: G. Some spoilers for the end of the anime.(Loosely based on a very old MKR fic I wrote years ago.)
It had been a long time since Fuu had thought of Innova.
She had fought him so desperately to save Ferio, and it wasn’t until the truth of the Princess’s call for help had been discovered that it had occurred to Fuu that maybe there had been a good reason for Innova’s battle too.
He was serving Zagato, who was trying to protect Emeraude, who had to die to spare the world. It only made sense that he was trying to protect one of them. Had it been Zagato or the Princess Emeraude that Innova had loved enough to give up his treasured (and Fuu had to admit, very beautiful) human form and in the end, his own life for?
She thought of his storm-wolf form, also beautiful, but vicious and powerful. Looking back, she thought he looked almost like the Knight’s Machins as they had been in their Shrines.
Maybe there was a Storm Shrine somewhere, Fuu thought, a little smile spreading over her face. Maybe Innova was there, waiting for another chance to serve the Pillar. Off in the distance, there was a rumble of thunder that made her look up quickly.
Surely not, she thought. Cefiro may be the world formed from will, but it would take the Pillar to recreate an elemental shrine and appoint a guardian beast. That didn't mean she couldn't hope it was her own wish that set it in motion.
