Haru felt at ease as soon as she went through the door. Considering the week she’d had, that was remarkable in itself. She was crawling after all, into a door made for the dapper cat in front of her, who was talking to a statue of a bird that had just come to life.
Despite all the craziness, and overlooking the fact that she was sitting on a trunk, like an oversize doll in a dollhouse, this was the best she had fit in for some time.
