[October 3rd] [Danny Phantom] [Ghost in Daylight]
Title: Not too Busy for this
Day/Theme: October 3/a ghost in daylight
Series: Danny Phantom
Character/Pairing: Danny and Sam
Rating: PG
Samantha Manson looked out to the starry sky, amethyst eyes searching the sky. It had been practically a year since Danny Phantom had become a true, recognized hero. He was now busier than ever. Helping out the world with any ghost related problem, and though what he was doing was a good thing. Sam missed her best friend turned boyfriend. She held the robe closed as she lifted one hand to press against the glass of her picture window. He had promised he'd see her soon. They spoke every day over the phone, making empty promises.
Sam loved Danny, but sometimes... she wondered if her love was really enough? She wanted... no, needed... to see Danny, to be able to hold his hand... and kiss him. But he had grown incredibly busy and didn't have time for her. Perhaps it was time to move on with her life... forget about Danny and find someone who would be there for her. Though she thought this, as she laid down to go back to sleep, somehow she knew she'd always love Danny... and she'd never be able to move on.
--
The morning sun rose elegantly over the horizon and touched her windows. She cringed, never much of a morning person, she moved to shut the window, only to find she was slightly restrained. She turned her head over to see Danny sleeping soundly beside her, arms wrapped around her middle. She wanted to yell at him, to scorn him for going to her room unannounced... but she felt relieved and happy to see him there... happy to know he was okay and did make time to see her. She sniffled a little, shifting to face him, pressing her head into his chest. Danny grunted and opened his eyes, looking down at his girlfriend.
“It's a little early for you to be up, isn't it Sam?”
Sam looked up at him with watery eyes, pulling a grin. “And miss this? I don't think so.”
Danny flushed, shifting his eyes away from her. “I'm sorry I didn't make it last night...”
“It's okay... you're here now... you can always make it up to me.”
His flush only grew darker with those words as they pressed their lips together. Sam flushed into the kiss. This is what she had been missing... she wrapped her arms around her hero, her ghost.... that had to wake her up at dawn. But he'd pay for that... with his kisses.
(THE END)
Bleh~ I hadn't wrote DannyxSam in a long, long time... this is obviously set after the series.
