Day/Theme: September 28 / to name the sunrise in you
Series: Tales of Legendia
Pairing/Character: Moses, Csaba (implied Jay/Moses)

"Honestly, Moses? I just don't get why you like him."

Moses looked up. "'s this about Jay again?"

"Well...yeah."

"Oh." Moses went back to eating.

"I mean," Csaba said uncomfortably, "I'm not trying to suggest anything! I just--I want what's best for you, Moses, and I--I just think you should try to find someone who...appreciates you. That's all."

Moses snorted. "Yeah, might be nice. Having a boyfriend who doesn't insult me every other second."

'Me!' Csaba wanted to say. 'Look at me, Moses!'

He settled for "...so why are you staying with him, then?"

Moses grinned. "...'cause he's not such a bad guy." This was what he always said. It was starting to get on Csaba's nerves, honestly.

Csaba closed his eyes. "Well," he said, "I might not agree with you, but I trust your judgment, Moses. I know you'd never do anything stupid."

There was a snort from the back. "And how long have you two known each other now?"

Csaba's hackles raised even before he turned around and saw--who else!--Jay. "Five years? Six years? And you're still espousing that opinion?" Jay continued. "Moses, I think your bandit is even stupider than you are."

Csaba gritted his teeth. "Now see here--"

Moses sighed loudly, interrupting the two of them. "Hey, Jay. What do you want this time?"

"Who said I wanted anything?"

The corner of Moses' mouth quirked up in a smile. "So y' just came here for no reason, then?"

"I--of course not, I--forget it." Jay scowled. "I'm leaving."

"Wait up, I'm comin'!" Moses called, scrambling for his belt.

Since Jay was out of view, Csaba settled for glaring daggers at the table. It couldn't exactly quake under his gaze, but then Jay never did, either.
