[September 17] [Tokyo Babylon] That Same Old Song

Title: That Same Old Song
Day/Theme: September 17: You bring out the sunshine underground
Series: Tokyo Babylon/X
Character/Pairing: Seishirou/Subaru
Rating: PG-13

"You killed him."

Subaru knelt down in front of Tadao and touched his face with a kind of morbid detachment. A few years ago he would have cried and blamed himself. Now he could only blame himself and wish he could cry.

"Clever, Subaru-kun."

A mouth against his neck. Subaru tensed and was about to turn around when a larger hand grabbed his wrist firmly and stroked the brand on the top of his hand gently. Despite himself, Subaru allowed this without further resistance.

"You don't care what I do with my time."

"Of course not," Seishirou said wrapping his other arm around Subaru's hips. "But our game hasn't yet outlived its interest." He brought the Subaru's hand towards his face and brushed it against his cheek. "It's dangerous, Subaru-kun, to introduce a new person to play without thinking about the consequences."

-

"You wouldn't fight here."

Seishirou grabbed Subaru's wrist with one hand, grip tight enough to bruise, and ignored Subaru's glare. The way he didn't care, just held Subaru's wrist and put a cigarette between his lips made Subaru feel so tired despite the fact he was able to sleep the night before.

"I would do a lot, Seishirou-san."

Subaru took out a lighter and lit Seishirou's cigarette surprising ease; it felt oddly intimate.

"Not when so many innocent people could get hurt. You're much too gentle to do that."

Subaru had the sudden urge to attack him right then and there and make sure a few building were destroyed just to wipe that knowing smirk off his face.

"There are much more interesting things we could do," Seishirou purred, letting go of Subaru's wrist and moving his hand up in order to set it on the back of Subaru's neck. He leaned forward and continued, his lips close enough to nibble on Subaru's earlobe, "if you think I'm sexy enough."

-

"Don't leave."

Subaru didn't dare look up. Instead he clenched his bed sheets and closed his eyes tightly. He wanted Seishirou to shove him back down on the bed and crawl on top of him and never ever get up.

"Cute, Subaru-kun."

Seishirou pressed a kiss on the top of Subaru's head.

"Seishirou-san, I - "

Seishirou lifted up his chin and waited until Subaru opened his eyes to speak again. "Sex is amusing, but I have important matters to attend to." He gave Subaru's lips another kiss; chaste and perfunctory as he tied his tie and then walked out the room. Subaru laid back down and slept; he didn't bother to call the clients he'd miss that day. He dreamed Seishirou killing him and staring at him with his ignoring eye.
