Violet. It was the last color in the spectrum. It was where blue fell into shadow, and faded into red. It was the end of the rainbow, before it began again.
And it’s me, she thought. She had been trying to think up a good secret identity name. Dash had suggested Invisigirl, Incredigirl, and Chameleon, all in the same breath. He probably would’ve thought of more if something shiny hadn’t caught his eye.
She didn’t like any of them. If her powers were part of her, then her super name should be too. And all the silly or clever aliases everyone came up with just seemed stupid. I’m invisible or behind a shield, she thought, and if this name is going to be another part of my armor, I want it to fit.
