Kyon took his bike out of storage. He coasted to the edge of a long steep hill, but paused to fidget with the brake handles.

Haruhi suddenly jumped on the back of the bike, leaned over Kyon's shoulders, and pointed down the hill. "Home, James!!"

"Get off!!" Kyon snapped. "I told you that the brakes on this bicycle are loose!! And even if they weren't about to fall apart..."

Haruhi braced one leg against the ground, in order to gave Kyon (and herself) a kick-start down the hill.

"...it's dangerous," Kyon said, "for you to ride on the rear wheeaaaaAAUGH!!"
