Haruhi had dragged Kyon to a street festival. She suddenly demanded that he buy her a helium-filled balloon.

"Aren't you too old for balloons?" Kyon asked, as Haruhi giggled. "Not that *I* care, but— HEY!! What are you doing!?"

Haruhi unfastened the balloon, and inhaled some helium. "Oh yeah," she said in a chipmunk voice. "That hits the spot."

"Ha ha," Kyon said. "Very funny."

Haruhi held up the balloon. "Want some?"

"I'll pass," Kyon said.

Haruhi scowled. She took another "hit," grabbed Kyon's collar, and kissed him deeply.

After the kiss, Kyon slumped. "Was that really necessary?" he squeaked.
